MELBOURNE PRIVATE HOSPITAL POWER OUTAGE
Melent Services were recently called out after hours to repair an existing 2000Amp bus-duct system, that supplies Melbourne Private Hospital.
In less than 6 hours, after a major arc fault caused by water ingression, Melent Services were able to provide full temporary power to the eight story building, until the nesassary replacement components could be manufactured and sent from interstate.

The recent acquisition of a 165kVA Standby Power Generator from Epworth Hospital, allows the Freemasons Hospital IVF program to continue it's reasearch and development, without interruption from mains power.

ROYAL MELBOURNE HOSPITAL - SHORT TERM STAY UNIT
Melent Services was recently commissioned by The Royal Melbourne Hospital Facilities Management Team to construct a new 16 bed Cardiac/Body protected Short Term Stay Ward.The building structure was relocatable/portable, with a time frame of 3 weeks given to complete all works.
Melent Services were responsible for the complete design and installation (including certification to AS:3003) of the following services:
- General Lighting & Power Installation
- Cardiac/Body Protected Power Panels to 16 Beds
- Equipotential Earthing System to AS:3003
- New BAS controlled (load shedding) distribution board & 160amp Supply
- Sedco Nurse Call/Patient Assist system (hardwired)
- Electronic Access control system to Tecom Master Station
- HP Monitoring Installation
- Biomedical Certification to AS:3003

FIRE AT WESTERN HOSPITAL (FOOTSCRAY)
Melent Services were recently called out after hours by The Western Hospital Engineering Department to attend a major fire and breakdown of the central Kitchen Main Distribution Board.
In less than 48 hours, Melent Services were able to reinstate lighting, power and specialist power to all Kitchen areas and equipment so that meals could be prepared and distributed throughout the Western Hospital and surrounding "feeder sites".
