Melent Services provides both commercial and industrial electrical services, whilst also specialising in communications voice, data cabling and networking. Melent Services is a company which places strong emphasis on service and workmanship, with a specialist team of 25 A-Grade and Austel licensed Electrical Mechanics and apprentices.

Considerable resources are put into staff training and the maintenance of a fully stocked fleet of 12 service vehicles, back up resources and the latest plant and equipment. High priority is given to supervision and planning in order to achieve an uncompromisingly high standard of work, cost efficiency and overall project control.

While new installation work forms a part of the Company's workload, it is notable that Melent Services is consistently retained to provide ongoing service and maintenance of electrical installations by many clients. We believe it is therefore testimony to the Company's professionalism and service that some of these contracts have now been in existence for several years.

Melent Services Pty. Ltd. was established in early 1996. With a the formation of this organisation, the management were able to launch a new platform on which to concentrate more prominently on the service, installation and maintenance side of electrical contracting.

2004 saw Melent Services purchase an office in Langford Street North Melbourne, allowing the company more space to expand its workforce and administration. The company has now settled with a staff of 25 and is focusing on fine tuning the services and quality control it offers to its solid client base.

There is a strong belief at Melent Services that many electrical contracting companies set out to become the largest electrical contractor in Melbourne, with the most work and employees as a measurement for success.

It has, however, always been our opinion that many of these companies trade off and jeopardise "good old fashioned service" for stardom and the chance to be accepted by their peers. This attitude has never been reflected by the management of Melent Services who continue to concentrate on containing the client base and employment structure to a manageable size. In turn, above average service and quality can be offered to all clients without compromise.

Mr Daniel Page and his management team, who are responsible for the direction of Melent Services, have a combined experience of over 46 years in the electrical industry.

Many clients often tell us that being able to deal directly with the owner on a personal basis keeps them coming back. It is obviously a comfort for many clients to know that prompt and decisive advice and decisions can be made at the top level with a single meeting or phone call to the right person.

Management is constantly encouraging senior staff to continue training and tuition within the industry. Many of our staff have gained accreditation in some of the more technical requirements of communications voice, data cabling and Networking. In addition to this and in order to offer a more complete service, the company has also encouraged all senior staff to obtain experience in electronic drafting (AutoCad) and similar systems.
